I;ve been playing go for over four years now, but living in a small town of Canada as a Fine Arts student prevents me from ever meeting anyone else who's even heard of it before. Seeing these comics makes me quite jealous! I can only play online most of the time. The drawings are also adorable! Comic Drawing + Go... a wonderful combination. Keep it up! |

I’m new to Go and love your work. I enjoyed going through each comic the past day and came up with a strip idea you’re welcome to use, adapt or ignore. Since I’m new to Go I find that habits from unrelated games creep into my play; i.e. games from my childhood like Othelo (Reversi), Connect 4, etc. that sort of mess me up.
Anyway the idea is you’d be instructing a newbie and they’d incorporate some other game instead. So instructing grandpa he might play and declare ‘King Me’, or with grandma she’d play B15 and I17 and yell ‘Bingo’, or you’re playing a nephew and after playing D7 and E7 he’d exclaim ‘You sank my Battleship!’. Anyway you get the idea. That last bit about the Battleship is a reference to an old 80s commercial in the US you might not be familiar with. I find it a hilarious reference though.
